CDC recently joined local organisations and community volunteers in Brooklyn, Melbourne, for a community planting and clean-up event along the lower Kororoit Creek corridor.
Hosted by the Brooklyn Recycling Group, the event brought together people from across the local community to support ongoing efforts to care for and improve shared community spaces. Volunteers spent the morning planting native vegetation, removing litter and helping maintain areas along the creek.

For CDC, the event was an opportunity to support a good cause in the community where we operate and to work alongside organisations that are committed to creating positive local outcomes. The activity reflects a shared belief that strong communities are built through participation, collaboration and a willingness to contribute where we can. The Brooklyn Recycling Group brings together businesses from the Brooklyn Industrial Precinct to improve environmental performance, strengthen community engagement and support positive outcomes for the local area. Through initiatives such as this, the group works with community organisations, government agencies and local volunteers to support projects that benefit Brooklyn and its surrounding neighbourhoods.

Beyond the work completed on the day, the event provided an opportunity for CDC employees to connect with one another and with members of the local community. It was a reminder that positive relationships are built through shared experiences and a genuine commitment to being involved in the places where we live and work.
As CDC continues to grow, supporting local communities remains an important part of how we do business. Whether through community partnerships, volunteering opportunities or local engagement programs, we recognise the value of working alongside others to create shared benefits and contribute positively to the regions in which we operate. This approach aligns with CDC's focus on community, partnership and delivering shared benefits in the areas where we operate.
CDC thanks the Brooklyn Recycling Group, Brimbank City Council, community volunteers and partner organisations involved in delivering the event. We look forward to continuing to support initiatives that bring people together and strengthen the communities we are proud to be part of.
