CDC has renewed its Toitū Enviromark Diamond certification across its New Zealand data centres. The certification has been achieved for the fourth year running and reaffirms our commitment to environmental leadership, continuous improvement and responsible operation of critical digital infrastructure.
Diamond is the highest level within the Toitū Enviromark programme and recognises organisations that have embedded environmental management into the way they operate, make decisions and drive continual improvement.

They have gone beyond compliance with Aotearoa New Zealand’s environmental legal obligations, showing commitment to rigorously managing risks, improving environmental outcomes and prioritising employees’ safety and wellbeing.” — Toitū.
The audit recognised several strengths including well-documented activity mapping, a strong understanding of stakeholder requirements and robust health, safety and wellbeing programs. These findings demonstrate the maturity of the systems and processes that support continual environmental improvement.
This certification supports CDC’s broader sustainability ambitions across Australia and New Zealand, including continued progress towards net zero emissions (scope 1, 2 and defined scope 3) and zero waste by 2030, and maintaining industry-leading water efficiency.
