CDC is celebrating the outstanding achievement of sponsored cyclist Claudia Marcks, who has claimed Commonwealth Games gold and silver while representing Australia on the international stage.

Competing in Glasgow, Claudia Marcks was part of the Australian Women's Team Pursuit (4000m) squad that secured the gold medal and set a new Commonwealth Games record time of 4:10.658. She also earned a silver medal in the Individual Women's 1km Time Trial, adding a second podium finish to an impressive campaign.

The achievement marks another milestone in a journey defined by dedication, perseverance and a commitment to excellence. Eighteen months ago, Claudia Marcks approached CDC seeking support to help pursue her sporting ambitions. Her determination, clear vision and strong work ethic stood out from the beginning and continue to be reflected in her success today.

While the medals are a remarkable accomplishment, Claudia Marcks' success also reflects the qualities that underpin high performance in any field: resilience, discipline and the willingness to pursue ambitious goals over the long term.

CDC is committed to supporting the communities in which it operates through partnerships and sponsorships that create positive outcomes beyond critical infrastructure. Supporting local athletes, community organisations and grassroots initiatives is one of the ways the company invests in future opportunity and achievement.

Claudia Marcks' Commonwealth Games success demonstrates what can be achieved when talent, determination and community support come together. CDC congratulates Claudia on her gold and silver medal performances and looks forward to following the next stage of her sporting journey.
