CDC is targeting to transition to Net Zero Carbon by 2030 for scope 1, 2 and defined scope 3, including customer ICT load, operational water and waste, business travel and accommodation, for our business in Australia by reducing the carbon intensity of our facilities, even as we grow.
Our New Zealand data centres have been Toitū net carbonzero certified since their first year of operation.
CDC has taken a deliberate approach to design and implement an advanced liquid cooling system to increase water efficiency across all data centre campuses. This system uses a single volume of water which is continuously recirculated, eliminating ongoing water draw for cooling purposes and minimising operational water use to near zero without compromising PUE.
As a result, CDC is one of the most water efficient data centres in Australia and New Zealand.
Building on our achievements to date, we are progressing towards achieving zero waste to landfill certification across all our data centre campuses.
As part of our progress, we are establishing systems and processes which rethink the linear economic model of 'buy, use, throw away' to move towards a more circular approach.
